Budne

and its palace

Sightseeing. Цікаві місця What is interesting about the village of Budne?

The manor house of the landlord Roman Hlovatskyi has been preserved in Budne, as we learn from the booklet “The Land of Sharhorod is Rich in Names” by Anatolii Nahrebetskyi.

Budne has several historical parts: Krylivka, Mazurivka, Prychepylivka, Rakovyi Kut and a separate settlement - Hrelivka (formerly known as Miliarivka).

Budne was once owned by the Lubomirski and Sosnovski families. Since 1850, the village belonged to Kazimierz Dobrovolskyi, and later to his grandson, R.O. Hlovatskyi.

Until 1917, Budne had a brewery, a distillery, a finger and a water mill. The building of the smithy should have survived somewhere - if you find it, give me a message, please.

Glowacki Palace

The mansion was built by order Roman Hlovatskyi in 1910. It is very similar to the palace in Nosykivka.

Between 1929 and 1934 (times of USSR), the former palace housed an agricultural college, the so-called ‘agronomic school’.

As soon as the college was closed, a children's orphanage was opened within the walls of the manor. From 15 August 1961 to the present day, the orphanage has been operating. There is a dormitory in the former palace. The palace looks well maintained.

Church in Budne

The first church in Budne was built in 1771 and consecrated in Honour of the Holy Great Martyr Demetrius. I don't know what happened to it, maybe it burned down. In 1868, the villagers bought the materials from the old wooden church in the village of Plebanivka and built a new church. Unfortunately, in 1876 it burned down. The next church was built in 1880 and consecrated in 1882 in Honour of the Holy Great Martyr Demetrius of Thessalonica.

In 1964, the church was destroyed in the village and a club was built in its place. However, I saw a church in the village. I don't know how new it is. If you know more, write to me on my page in Facebook
